Right Hand Ministries

Matthew 25:34-36

“Then the King will say to those on His RIGHT HAND, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father...for I was hungry and you gave Me food, thirsty and you gave Me drink, a stranger and you took Me in, naked and you clothed Me, sick and you visited Me, in prison and you came to Me.”

In these Scriptures in Matthew, the Lord is speaking of the Day when the nations will be gathered before Him. “Those on His Right Hand” are those who are ministering His love in a tangible way to a hurting world around them. This is what Right Hand Ministries is all about, ministering to those whom the Lord would lead us to touch with His love. Primarily, RHM is a channel of support for ministries or individuals in poorer nations. Thus far, this has almost exclusively taken place in India, although we are open to His leading in other places also.

James 1:27 says, “Pure and undefiled religion is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.” One of our main passions is to be able to help as many orphans and widows as possible to find the comfort, provision and hope that only Jesus Christ can bring. On our HOPE Orphanage webpage you can learn about what God is doing through the HOPE family, located in southeastern India. We have learned that an orphanage can also be an ideal place to reach out to the local widows as well, giving the widows some of the fellowship they long for, as well as giving the children an opportunity to serve. There are currently 32 children in HOPE and around 30 widows that RHM is assisting. You can also visit the HOPE website to get more detailed information and photos.

You can also click onto Ministries to learn about the Gospel Band and Murthy (some of the other ministries that we assist on a regular basis). Gospel Band is a group of churches (the HOPE family attends one of them), and funds we send helps them in various ways, such as meeting medical needs, helping during crisis situations and repairing their churches, which are usually thatched-roof huts, as most of their congregations are poor. We are also helping one of the young Gospel Band pastors, Puthra, on an ongoing basis as he develops his ministry. Murthy is a pastor in a city further south, and the funds we send goes to assist him in his pastoral work, assist other Gospel workers and also to help a few widows from time to time.

RHM is an IRS recognized non-profit organization whose main purpose is to be an extension of His love to broken lives, as well as assist poor brothers and sisters in fulfilling their God-given callings, which otherwise would be very difficult for them to do. At this time there is no paid staff at RHM, and our operating expenses in 2006 were a little more than 3% (mostly printing costs for the newsletters). We try to keep the expenses as low as possible, so the great majority of your giving goes directly to meet the needs and opportunities of ministry.

“For He will deliver the needy when he cries for help, the afflicted also, and him who has no helper. He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and the lives of the needy He will save.” - Psalms 72:12-13
