Pray for Orissa Prisoner!

The picture to the right is of Bijaya Sanset. Bijaya is a pastor and is one of several pastors that were falsley accused of killing a Hindu swami in 2008 and put in jail. RHM is currently working with Voice of the Martyrs and a ministry in India to get some free legal help for Bijaya and these other men. Bijaya has a wife and 6 children that are poor and suffering without him. Please pray for him and his family during this difficult time and remember the others with him in prison.

" Remember the prisoners, as if in prison with them..." Hebrews 13:3

Financial Prayer Requests

1. Pray with us, asking the Lord to strengthen our financial base so that we can reach out and help others in a greater way. Perhaps 80-85% of what comes into RHM is used for the HOPE ministry. We are thankful for what the Lord is doing at HOPE, but there are so many more hurting people that we want to help, both physically and spiritually, but all in the Name of JESUS and with the goal of bringing them more into the fulfillment of His purpose for their lives. There are especially tribal village ministries that we would love to assist more as the Lord provides. As a side note, our tuition center (pictured above) for the Orissa forest children, who have no other schooling, is going great. Praise His Name!

2. I am sure many of you recognize the finacial instability of these times. I am asking the Lord if it is wise to totally depend on foreign funds and have been praying about ways to earn income here in India if the Lord provides the funds through someone willing to invest. All of the income produced would go back into touching lives. Even things like growing our own rice involves land and labor. Please pray for His wisdom and guidance. We do not want to do anything unless we know it is Him.

3. We finally were able to get the permission necessary from the government to have a school van, so that has been purchased. With the Lord's help, this should be a big asset for the school. Pray that we will be able to handle the monthly payments. It was not our desire to go into debt, but transportation is a must in order to run a school and small vehicles are not permitted by the government. Most of the outside children are from non-Christian or nominal Christian homes, so pray that their experience in our school will be a life changing one!
